Robert Kushner finds joyful inspiration in nature and the spontaneity of her forms, patterns and colors. In Sweet Pea he plays with real space combining multiple views into a flattened and intertwined array. The rich palette of the print varies from the pinks, greens and browns of the natural environment, to the colors of oxidized copper and the richness of composition gold leaf.
Sweet Pea II is a thirteen color lithograph with composition gold leaf, printed from eleven aluminum plates on white Rives BFK paper 30¼ x 30 inches. There are thirty signed and numbered prints in the edition, plus proofs.
