“Midsummer II”

Working from branches and grasses collected in the vicinity of Shark’s studio, Kushner created this composition determined by chance. Kushner dropped markers on the plates to determine the branches’ placement. A smaller related image called “Cherries” uses the same chance method for the composition. Both prints are rich, colorful and elegant.

“Cherries” has been printed in five colors on white Rives BFK, 18 x 20”, in an edition of 30, plus proofs. “Midsummer” (above)has been printed in six colors on white Rives BFK, 44½ x 30”, in an edition of 30, plus proofs.
