Incognito, is based on a large painting Tom Burckhardt completed earlier this year. He intends Incognito to toe the line between figuration and abstraction, allowing its formal qualities to reveal a persona in disguise. The interpretation of a figurative image out of abstract phenomena is pareidolia, not unlike conjuring a Jesus in a burnt tortilla or a bunny in the clouds.
Incognito is a seven color lithograph printed from seven aluminum plates on white Rives BFK paper 24 x 32 inches.
