“The Luminary”

The Luminary, glows with light emanating from electric bulbs surrounding a silhouetted central figure. The background is laced with an incised fine line tapestry of images of Chicago including historic moments in the city’s history. Also depicted are the city’s famous architecture, sporting teams and rich arts and industrial heritage. The central figure “illuminates” these images and may be seen as a metaphor for inspiration and hope.
